چکیده

The collective transverse flow was analysed within the model of 3-fluid dynamics (3FD) [1]. Model parameters of our previous paper [1] were used, which were fixed to reproduce a great body of experimental data in the incident energy range Elab (1–160)A GeV. These parameters have been varied only in order to study sensitivity to stiffness of the equation of state (EoS). Thus, in addition to the default choice of the EoS with an intermediate incompressibility of K = 210 MeV [1] calculations were also performed for a hard (380 MeV), soft (130 MeV), and extra-soft (100 MeV) choice.

Collective flow in heavy ion collisions from SIS to SPS energies

Collective effects, such as the transverse flow of particles produced in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions, are very important for the study of the nuclear equation of state (EOS) and for the search of a predicted transition to the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). At present the transverse flow is believed to be one of the most clear signals to detect the creation of the QGP in heavy-ion experime...

Transverse mass spectra in Heavy Ion Collisions from AGS to RHIC

Transverse mass spectra of hadrons are presently in the center of interest of the experimental study of relativistic heavy ion collisions. The significant suppression of high transverse momentum hadrons in Au+Au collisions compared to pp observed at RHIC energies [1] is often attributed to the energy loss of highly energetic particles in a hot colored medium (QGP) [2]. On the other hand, the me...

Rapidity losses in heavy-ion collisions from AGS to RHIC energies

We study the rapidity losses in central heavy-ion collisions from AGS to RHIC energies with the mean rapidity determined from the projectile net-baryon distribution after collisions. The projectile net-baryon distribution in the full rapidity range was obtained by removing the target contribution phenomenologically at forward rapidity region from the experimental net-baryon measurements and tak...

From the particle ratios and the transverse momentum spectra of hadrons in relativistic heavy ion collisions, one can obtain chemical freeze-out temperature T ch and thermal freeze-out temperature T th through the analyses of statistical models [1]. These temperatures are usually different from each other at the AGS, SPS and RHIC energies, i.e., T ch ∼ 160-200 MeV while T th ∼ 100-140 MeV. This...

Mean field effects in heavy-ion collisions at AGS energies

The question whether mean field effects exist in heavy-ion collisions at AGS energies is studied in the framework of A Relativistic Transport (ART) model. It is found that in central collisions of Au+Au at Pbeam/A =11.6 GeV/c a simple, Skyrme-type nuclear mean field satisfying the causality requirement reduces the maximum baryon and energy densities reached in the cascade model by about 30% and...
